🍓 Strawberry Season Is Here
You know summer’s really here when the strawberries are ready. Make it a morning adventure because most places open early and sell out fast. Grab a bucket, your kids, your partner, or just yourself and hit one of these spots:
Basse’s Taste of Country (Colgate)
Jelli’s Market (Jefferson County)
Barthel Fruit Farm (Mequon)
Thompson Strawberry Farm (Bristol)
Nieman Orchards (Brookfield)

🍜 Osaka Ramen Opens 2nd Location in Brookfield
Waukesha County’s ramen scene just leveled up, again. Osaka Ramen, known for their rich broth and Tokyo-style pork belly, opened a second location in Brookfield at 920 S Moorland Rd.
It’s worth the trip because they are offering 10% off all purchases through the month of June. Our recommendations are the Tonkatsu Ramen (the pork chasu is insane), and the Tan Tan Ramen.

✈️ Waukesha Airport Food Truck Wednesdays
Unexpected and underrated: the Waukesha Airport hosts a food truck lunch every Friday. It’s calm, open-air, and you’ll probably spot a small plane or two landing while you eat. We love it for the low crowds and zero parking drama.
This Friday features Smoke Ring BBQ, a Waukesha-based BBQ catering option and ood truck. They’re known for their creative menu items like BBQ Tacos, Mac, and Burritos. Their most popular items are Ribs, but I personally am obsessed with the Brisket Philly.
🗓️ Every Friday | 🕛 11 AM – 2 PM
📍Waukesha County Airport (Northview Rd.)

Sussex Splash Pad Day Trip
Sometimes all you need is water and a picnic. The Sussex Splash Pad is open, and it’s the perfect day trip. Pack a lunch, toss a blanket in the car, and let the kids enjoy a summer day at the splash pad and park. Even better? It’s totally free.
📍The Grove at Village Park, Sussex
⏰ Open 10 AM – 8 PM daily
💡 Don’t forget sunscreen, water shoes, and a shaded spot to rest
